Rediscover Massage Therapy
My name is Ayla Ginther and I have been a registered massage therapist since 2009. I completed my 2200hr training at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Edmonton, and have decided to focus my practice on Prenatal and Postnatal massage. I've also completed a course for infant massage instructor.
I've worked on young children, elderly clients, athletes, people with chronic illnesses or chronic pains. I've done relaxation, therapeutic, hot stone, deep tissue and trigger point therapy and none has resounded as much with me as prenatal massage does! I love being able to help women during the amazing time of their life when they are pregnant or have entered motherhood. I know first hand that its not always easy and that stress can build up fast. Massage helps reduce the stress, which helps you bond better, sleep better and function better. Just the act of human touch can significantly lower stress levels, and I love being able to help with that. I've learned stretches to relieved hip and low back pain that I can show you to help relieve pain outside of your massage time, as well as how to relax the muscles that are constantly being pulled stretched and overused as the pregnancy progresses. I love working with pregnant women and getting to help them relax so they can enjoy their pregnancies to the fullest! Postnatal massage is just as important as prenatal to help mom relax, and to heal faster. Postnatal massage is much easier to put off because you become to busy or its too hard to find a sitter or maybe baby refuses to take a bottle, I know that was my biggest reason for not getting the massages I needed after my daughter was born. Which is why I wanted to start a MOBILE pre/postnatal massage company, to help moms find the time to relax and take some 'me time'. I bring everything needed for a relaxing, rejuvenating and therapeutic massage right to your home. By using proper body cushioning to support both mom and babe I can relieve pressure on the hips, chest and back. In supine (face up) position I use a memory foam wedge that elevates you enough to relieve sinus pressure and low back ache. |
