Common Questions |
|
How far do you travel?
Previously I travelled as far as Rocky Mountain House and Camrose but I have reduced my travel distance to within 45 minutes of North Red Deer. For further than 45 minutes away I require a minimum or 2 hrs booked.
Are you Registered?
Yes! I am Registered with the NHPC having completed my 2200hr Diploma Program through MH Vicars in Edmonton.
Do you direct bill and or issue receipts?
I offer both direct billing or receipts. Direct billing is available to most insurance companies (listed on the homepage). If you are unsure if your company offers direct billing just send me a message and I am happy to find out for you!
Do you only work on Pregnant Clients?
Prenatal massage is definitely my main clientele base, however I work towards full family wellness. I have worked on day old infants, toddlers, children, teens (especially in sports), adults and grandparents. Adding massage therapy to your families wellness routines helps create positive health choices.
Do you work on Children?
Yes, and I offer infant massage classes for new parents to help them with common pains and issues. Most of the techniques are usable at any age, and I still use them on my toddler and preschooler!
I don't have a big house, how much room do you need?
I have worked in very tight spaces, not much more than the space of a coffee table is needed.
What to expect for a mobile massage |
|
The biggest benefit to mobile massage, is being able to relax in your own home when it is convenient for you.
the following is a typical massage appointment:
-Arrival at appointed time with supplies needed (Massage Table, Linens, Oil, Cushions as needed)
-While I set up (5ish Minutes) I have new clients fill out an intake/consent form for me.
-We go over the reason for the massage, anything of note on your intake form.
-I will leave the room to wash my hands while you get on the table.
-60-90 minutes of Massage with background music playing to help relax you.
-At the end of the treatment I leave to wash my hands again while you get dressed.
-5-10 minutes to pack up, take payment or double check info for direct billing and book any future appointments.
-you enjoy the rest of your day or night!

What is a family wellness day? |
|
What I am offering with the family wellness day is getting all the members of your family rested and relaxed on the same day. It can be quite difficult to try and get everyone in for massages individually, working around multiple schedules for sports, school or work.
With the family days, I correspond with you to find a day or evening (including weekends) that works for YOUR schedule. We book everyone back to back, and I just set up in a spot in the house. Just like being in a clinic there is a 10 minute buffer between to switch out the sheets, clean the table, get the next person comfortable.
My clients that utilize this booking day just go about their day normally, cooking and eating dinner throughout the appointments. Usually the kids are on the table first, by the time they are done supper is ready so while they eat mom or dad is getting their massage. Holiday weekends are popular too since everyone seems to be home for at least 1 day.
The house doesn't need to be quiet, the pets don't need to be put away and if you are ok with the kids running around during your massage, it 100% doesn't bother me! I have 3 kids, 2 puppies and 2 cats, I get it!
With family days when there are at least 3 people we can shorten the appointment times if needed as well.
